As a versatile player who is equally effective in the positions of wing, centre and fullback, he has made a name for himself as an all-round talent.
But Tim's passion for rugby is not just shaped by his own personality. As the eldest of three brothers, he shares his love of the sport with his family. His middle brother Louis is also a successful rugby player and plays in the first Bundesliga for RG Heidelberg . This family connection to rugby has not only motivated Tim, but also contributed to him always striving for greater things.
His journey in rugby began in his youth at RK Heusenstamm , where he discovered his passion for the sport and developed his talent. His potential was already apparent at a young age when he became German champion with the U18 team. He made his debut in the first Bundesliga in 2011, also with RK Heusenstamm.
In 2013, Tim joined the German national rugby sevens team, the Wolfpack. His impressive play and dedication led him to the German Army's sports development company, where he continued to demonstrate his skills. Since then, he has amassed a remarkable list of achievements and awards.
In 2014 he made his debut in the German 15s rugby national team against the Czech Republic.
His successes in rugby sevens with the Wolfpack in the following years are numerous. Starting in 2015 with 1st place at the Stanislav Sevens in Nancy and 5th place at the Grand Prix Series.
In 2016 he repeated his 1st place in the Stanislav Sevens, 1st place in the Howard Hinton Sevens, 5th place in the World Sevens Series Qualifier in Hong Kong, 4th place in the Olympic Qualifier in Monaco, where Tim managed to score 12 tries, and 4th place in the Grand Prix Series. His performance and these successes earned Tim the Player of the Year award in Germany this year.
In 2017, the Wolfpack finished 2nd at the World Sevens Series Qualifier in Hong Kong and in 2018 they finished 2nd in the Grand Prix Series.
Tim took 3rd place with the Wolfpack at the World Seven Series in Hong Kong in 2019 and became European Champion by winning the Grand Prix Series.
In 2020 they finished 1st at the World Sevens Series Qualifier in Chile and 5th in Uruguay. Tim's contribution to these successes was undeniable. His outstanding performances cemented his place as one of the leading figures in German rugby.
In 2021, Tim had a special experience at the national level, as he and his little brother Louis won the German rugby 7s championship with RG Heidelberg. The following year, they were beaten in the final and only reached 2nd place.
But Tim has also left his mark in 15-a-side rugby (rugby union). With SC 1880 Frankfurt, he won the German championship title in 2023.
In case of injuries of any kind, which unfortunately are inevitable in a sport like rugby, Tim always receives professional support and treatment from physiotherapist Benjamin Krimer at the Movement practice.
