TANK20 Athletes - Introduction Carlton Earl Fritsche

Carlton Earl Fritsche is a sportsman through and through who discovered his love of sport at a young age and developed into a versatile athlete. From his beginnings in football to judo, kung fu, ice hockey and basketball, he finally found his ultimate passion in American football, which has accompanied and shaped him for over two decades.

His sporting journey began at the age of five with football, a sport that many children in Germany enjoy playing. But Carlton soon showed an extraordinary talent and a love for a variety of sporting activities. At the age of 9 he started judo and kung fu and at the age of 10 he was able to win the title of city champion in judo.

At the age of 13, Carlton switched from soccer to ice hockey and also discovered his passion for basketball. But it was not until he was 16 that he found his true love for American football, a sport he has remained loyal to to this day.

His football career began in 1998 with the Obertshausen Blizzards before he moved to the Hanau Hornets youth team. With the Hesse selection he took second place at the JLT in Berlin in 2000 and the following year he became German Association Champion. With the Hornets men he won the regional championship title twice in the following years.

In 2015, Carlton moved to Frankfurt Universe , with whom he immediately experienced the undefeated march through the GFL 2 and won the "Battle of Champions" against the English team London Warriors. In 2016, Frankfurt Universe became EFL champions in the final against the Amsterdam Crusaders.

Carlton also made it to the German Bowl in the GFL with the Frankfurt Universe. Unfortunately, the dream of winning the German championship was dashed and the team had to admit defeat to the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns.

In addition to his successful playing career, Carlton has also been working as an American football coach since 2007. He started as a defense coordinator and defense line coach with the Hanau Hornets youth team before winning the Central and Eastern Regional League with his protégés in 2011. In 2017, he made the jump to the Wetterau Bulls men's team and held various positions there, including defense coordinator, assistant head coach, special team coordinator and athletic coach. From there he moved to Essen to join the Assindia Cardinals , where he has been responsible for the men's defense line ever since.

In addition to his involvement in American football, Carlton has also been a member of the Rhein-Main Old Stars team since 2014, which organizes successful charity games to raise money for children in need. Since 2023, he has also been active in the Germany Old Stars project, which also plays for a good cause.

Carlton also founded GW51 Perfect Training , where he works as a personal coach for fitness and American football and offers training programs for people of all ages and fitness levels. His main job is football camps and clinics, which he organizes both alone and in collaboration with various organizations such as PPI Recruits , No Flight Zone or Precision Academy . He specializes in defensive line position camps, which he offers for men and women throughout Europe.

Carlton has made it its mission to promote and inspire young talent. PPI Recruits has made it its mission to bring European players to US colleges. Through intensive cooperation with Brandon Collier from PPI, Carlton has been able to help shape the careers of many players. Among his protégés are players such as Tibo Debailile from the BC Lions in the CFL, Julius Welschof from the Pittsburgh Steelers and active D1 college players such as Alexander Ehrensberger from Notre Dame, Farad Titikpina from Coastal University and Hero Kanu from Ohio State.

With his passion for the sport and his commitment to promoting young talent, Carlton Earl Fritsche has left a lasting impression in the world of American football and is a role model for many aspiring athletes.
